"10 Promises to My Dog" ♥

I've seen a few movies that with theme of dogs,
most of them are quite nice and touching,
but I really want to blog about this movie that I watched recently,
"10 Promises to My Dog".
-
 -
This is a Japanese film based on a novel authored by Hare Kawaguchi.
This novel was in turn inspired by a set of rules entitled The Ten Commandments of Dog Ownership.
I've heard of this movie very long time ago,
and seen the 10 promises that mentioned in the movie,
but not really watching it.
I accidentally found it in Speedy last week when I went to Mid Valley for shopping with sister and I decided to buy it once I found it.
There are a few more dog-themed movies of the same producer,
and I really feel like getting all them,
but I don't really have much time to watch movie myself,
so I will get them time by time.

The movie is about a girl named Akari always wish to adopt a puppy to accompany and play with her,
especially when her mother is hospitalized because of a incurable disease,
and her father is a top surgeon who doesn't have much time to spend with her due to long working hour.
One day, this cute Golden Retriever sneaked into the courtyard of her house,
and this is how they meet each other.
Before her mother agree with her adopting this pup,
she was asked to make 10 promises to this pup,
which is 10 commandments from a pup's point of view:-
-
1. Listen patiently to what I have to say.
2. Trust me, for I am always on your side.
3. Play with me a lot.
4. Don’t forget that I have feelings too.
5. Let’s never fight, ‘Cause someday, I’ll be big enough to win.
6. If I don’t obey you, I have a good reason.
7. You have school, and friends. But as for me, I only have you.
8. Stay my best friend even when I’m old.
9. I’ll only live about ten years, so let’s make every moment count.
10. I’ll never forget our life together. So when my time comes, please be by my side.

She agreed and this golden retriever officially becomes part of her house and named Socks.
-
 -
Her mother passed away not too long after that.
Socks was the one who accompany her for 10 years all along her childhood until she is 24 years old now.
-
  -
The most touching part of this movie is before Socks pass away,
she think back about the 10 promises that her mother mentioned before she adopted Socks,
how much did she do for what she has promised.
The reason I think this movie is different with any other dog-themed movies is because this movie can really remind all the pet owners that they actually have to be responsible to their puppies or any other pets.

Do you have a puppy?
I do.
He's a mini American Cocker named Muffin.
He's very cute, isn't he?
 -
I bought him when I was 16 years old.
That time my parents was very disagree with us keeping a dog,
but I just bought and brought him home,
and told my parents that he was a present of my sister from a guy that tackling her.
He's living with us after that day,
and my parents start to accept him and like him more day by day.
We all love him so so MUCH~~
Here are some of his pictures.
I tried to find more but due to changes of computer and phones for a few times,
these are all can be found ><
